Michael Jakeman holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria (2006).
Over nearly two decades in practice, he has worked extensively in Indigenous justice, real estate, family and criminal law, earning a reputation for his commitment to community-focused legal services and strong client relationships.
Now concentrating exclusively on family law in Greater Victoria, Michael brings both depth of legal experience and a compassionate, solution-oriented approach to every case.

In determining child custody, the court considers several factors, including the child's age, health, and well-being, the relationship between the child and each parent, and the ability of each parent to provide for the child's physical and emotional needs.
My hourly rate for family law is $500 CAD.
